Scrim is a macOS desktop application that creates visual overlay masks on your screen. It operates entirely locally on your device.

Data Collection

Scrim does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data. Specifically:

• No telemetry or analytics
• No screen content is captured, recorded, or sent anywhere
• No cookies or tracking on the website beyond basic hosting logs
• No third-party SDKs embedded in the application

License Validation

When you activate your license key, Scrim makes a one-time network request to verify your purchase. After activation, the app functions entirely offline.

macOS Permissions

Scrim requests Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions from macOS. These are required solely to position overlay windows above other applications. No screen content is ever read, stored, or transmitted.
